Fourth of July fireworks 2024: Where to see 13 fireworks events in Lancaster County (2024)

From Ephrata to Elizabethtown to Quarryville, there are plenty of Fourth of July firework events to enjoy in every region of Lancaster County.

This year, July 4 lands on a Thursday, meaning many municipalities are celebrating the weekend before, the week of and the weekend after Independence Day.

New to the county this year is a fireworks display at the Barn at Paradise Station in Ronks and a collaborative Fourth of July celebration between Columbia and Wrightsville, York County.

Columbia Borough Council President Heather Zink says that Columbia residents had been asking for a fireworks display, but that it made the most sense to collaborate with Wrightsville, which "already had the groundwork laid."

"Columbia contributed money to extend the show and both communities will be able to see the fireworks from their riverfronts," Zink says to LNP|LancasterOnline in an email.

Both Zink and Wrightsville Borough council member Eric J. White say that the two towns plan to continue the tradition.

"This is the first year for a bigger and better combined event between the two neighboring River Townes," White says in an email to LNP|LancasterOnline.

June 28

Lititz

— Elizabeth Farms, at 262 Hopeland Road in Lititz, will host its Fourth of July Celebration, starting at 5 p.m. There will be food and drinks, a live performance by musician Terry Strongheart and, of course, fireworks. Admission costs $20 per vehicle. More info.

East Petersburg

— The East Petersburg Community Park, at 2575 Graystone Road in East Petersburg, will host a family movie night and fireworks show from 5:30-10:15 p.m. The park will show the movie "Wonka." Fireworks show when the movie ends. There will be several food trucks on site, as well as live performances from The Kracker Beez. Admission is free. More info.

June 29

Mountville

— Froelich Park, at 350 W. Main St. in Mountville, will show a fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Mountville Community Services Foundation. The rain date for this event is July 6. More info.

June 30

Lancaster

— Long's Park, at 1441 Harrisburg Ave. in Lancaster, will host a performance from the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," followed by a fireworks display at dusk. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and has free admission. This is the park's largest event of the year. Be sure to bring a blanket and lawn chairs. More info.

July 3

Lancaster

— Clipper Magazine Stadium, at 650 N. Prince St. in Lancaster, will host an Independence Day celebration with fireworks. The event, which runs from 5:30-9:30 p.m., will feature live entertainment, food eating competition, field games, craft beer and more. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. More info.

Ronks

— The Barn at Paradise Station, at 312 Paradise Lane in Ronks, will host a Fourth of July celebration running from 4-9:30 p.m. There will be food trucks on site, as well as a live performance from the New Holland Band, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, though donations are welcomed. July 4

Elizabethtown

—Stone Gables Estate, which includes the Star Barn and the Ironstone Ranch, at 1160 N. Market St. in Elizabethtown, will host an evening of activities that ends with fireworks. The event runs from 3-9 p.m., with fireworks starting at 9 p.m., and features train rides, pony rides, live performances, demonstrations, vendors and more. Admission costs $30 per car (up to eight guests), $40 per car (nine to 14 guests), or $20 per car entering past 7:30 p.m.More info.

Ephrata

— Ephrata Recreation Center will put on a fireworks show at the Lincoln Heights Recreation Area, at 301 Crescent Ave. in Ephrata. The fireworks display will start at 9:30 p.m., and admission is free. The rain date is July 5 at 9:30 p.m.

— Before the fireworks,the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, at 201 Crescent Ave. in Ephrata, will host a Fourth of July Community Fun Night from 5:30-8:30 p.m. On-site activities and features include live entertainment, pie eating contests, inflatables for kids, a community prayer wall, food trucks and more. Food and milkshakes will be sold on site for a donation, with proceeds going toward the Ephrata Church of the Brethren and the Lions Club. Admission is free. More info.

Lititz

— Lititz Springs Park, at 24 N. Broad St. in Lititz, will host a full day of Fourth of July activities, running from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This year, all events will take place in one day, as opposed to previous years where the celebration would span two days.

Activities include a baby parade, a patriotic parade, live entertainment, contests and tournaments, a DJ dance party and fireworks, which launch at 9:30 p.m. Pre-sale admission costs $13 for general admission (ages 11+), $5 for children ages 3-10 years old and free for children ages 0-2. Marietta

— View fireworks in Marietta at around 9:15 p.m. from the Community Bible Church, at 331 Anderson Ferry Road in Marietta, or the War Memorial Park, 344 E. Walnut St. in Marietta. Admission is free. More info.

Columbia/Wrightsville

— While Columbia doesn't formally have its own fireworks show, Columbia residents should be able to see Wrightsville's fireworks in a new event, the Wrightsville & Columbia 4th of July Celebration. The event opens at 3 p.m., and most celebrations will be held at Riverfront Park, on North Front Street in Wrightsville. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, trivia, DJ music and kid-friendly activities. Firework launch when dark. More info.

July 5

New Holland

— The New Holland Community Park, at 400-498 E. Jackson St. in New Holland, will host a celebration featuring a performance from the New Holland Community Band at 7 p.m., and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free.More info.

July 6

Quarryville

— Buck Motorsports Park & Entertainment Complex, at 900 Lancaster Pike in Quarryville, will host its annual Demolition Derby and Fireworks celebration from 7-10 p.m. The show will end with fireworks. Admission costs $18 for adults (12+ years old), $10 for children ages 5-11 years old or free for children ages 0-4 years old. This event may sell out, so be sure to purchase tickets before attending.
